DESIGN THINKING
Which gift do you think is the perfect gift? Who was it for and why did you choose this specific gift? Did you have enough time? There are a myriad of questions that arise when one chooses a gift for someone. When buying a gift, majority of people desire to find the ‘perfect gift’ within the given budget and time. Many big companies such as Hallmark, Godiva, Tiffany & co. certainly design the gift what the consumers think perfect. Because these companies must create the best quality in their profession to provide satisfying service to people, they strived to create their own style in making products last decades. However, when people actually encounter the moment of choosing gift, countless gift buyers ironically get the gift that is different from what they previously thought, and this is the result of “design thinking” from many companies and brands. Design thinking is the process of engendering new ideas or products that eventually changes the mind of customers. Nowadays, this strategy is often used my many entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to develop innovative products and ways of marketing.
I believe that successful entrepreneurs bring groundbreaking and innovative products or ideas that not only broaden the diversity in market, but also attract people to choose and make them happy. Along with other core factors to become an entrepreneur, design thinking significantly affects the path in marketing. However, this design thinking often requires one to cooperate with a group or a partner in order to draw the highest efficiency. With a group, design thinking can maximize efficiency by merging different perspectives and ideas to create a better solution. Furthermore, a group with a people of different aptitude and specialty certainly facilitate the process in performing business. For instance, because I was especially strong in organizing and collaborating ideas into easily comprehensible way, I managed to make the presentations while each other made different contributions to the group. As entrepreneurship demands great amount of both brainwork and physical work in successfully accomplishing different tasks, many entrepreneurs collaboratively work with a group. Among many works of both trivial and significant, design thinking is the process to innovation that still requires equally to each person in a group and eventually changes not only their lives to success, but also the whole world. This beauty of Design Thinking is, without doubt, unlimited.
