AMAZON & FACEBOOK?

Even if you don’t live in America, you must be well-acquainted with these two global companies. What possible business can these two companies, Amazon and Facebook, merge to maximize services and succor the modern needs in our society? Firstly, Amazon.com Inc. is an electronic commerce and cloud computing company that started in Seattle, Washington. Amazon currently exceeded the sales as the Internet-based retailer in the US, also greatly influencing the global market. The business started as an online bookstore and later broadened to sell multimedia (DVDs, CDs, videos, and music). However, Amazon is most famously known for selling without boundaries in industry, apparel, furniture, jewelry, and toys etc. Meanwhile, Facebook started from an entrepreneur from Harvard serving social network service. This business tremendously expanded over past decade and became the biggest Social Network Service (SNS) worldwide. These two businesses seem to be so distant; however, when you observe modern, technologically overwhelmed society, there are a myriad of service possible in various directions. I believe that Yelp and Angie’s List are dominating American business ratings and reviews. Then, why can’t Amazon and Facebook work together to give more efficient reviews on certain products or businesses? Facebook currently has 1.19 billion users, and Amazon has the largest connections with countless global enterprises.

There is a saying, “good writers copy, but great writers steal.” When these two companies cooperate from already-existing idea, I believe they can bring more impacts to society than ever existed.
